Study On “the Role Of Cpec In Sino-pak Relations: The Case Study Of China-pakistan Fiber Optic Project(CPFOP)”

There is a lot of research work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects,some of the authors and scholars have opinion that project have brought a big economic,social change for both countries.Economy through trade,business and creating job opportunities for both countries brought drastic benefits and some opinions of world scholars have a negative image and disadvantages.This research aims to study the role of China-Pakistan Fiber Optic Project in China Pakistan Relations,basing on books,articles,reports,videos and news related documents about CPEC and CPFOP.The China-Pakistan friendship is an all-weather friendship,and the two countries have maintained friendship for nearly 70 years.China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)was first announced during Chinese Premier Li Ke qiang’s official visit to Pakistan in 2013.On the basis of assisting Pakistan in infrastructure expansion and upgrading,CPEC aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan in transportation,energy,ocean and other fields,strengthen connectivity between the two countries,and promote common development of the two countries.The China-Pakistan Fiber Optic Project(CPFOP)is a sub-project of CPEC,which was introduced in 2014 and work began in 2016.CPFOP completed in 2018 in record time.It is anticipated that the project is a perfect model to improve the lifestyle of the people of Gilgit Baltistan and to open market in this region for traders and for better connectivity people to people communication and for cultural exchange of the both countries.The study found that the project is not only beneficial to the people of Gilgit Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,but also beneficial to the Chinese people in terms of tourism and trade.Although there are many benefits of the CPFOP but the people of the area and as Pakistan are developing country so government of Pakistan is facing and it is also possibility that will face problems in future so there are also some challenges due the CPFOP.This study analyzed and discussed the above problems and also evaluated the US-China trade war impact on CPEC projects and the due dilemma of India on CPEC projects.USA,UK and other countries are strongly interested in the CPEC project.This study consists of six parts: The first chapter is introduction,which described the background and significance of China Pakistan optical fiber project,and summarized the domestic and foreign research status on this topic,put forward the research questions why China-Pakistan Fiber Optic Project is so important to the two countries and the main arguments: Considering economic and social stability and security factors,the fiber optic cable project between China and Pakistan is of great significance to strengthen the connectivity and common development of the two countries.The second chapter of the study provided information on the geo-strategic significance of the CPFOP.Research shows that the CPFOP has a major impact on the development of political stability in the country of Pakistan as before the area was ignored by the previous political parties and government now due to this project started this are will not let the government to ignore it any more.I also explain in this chapter that as it is the important part of BRI so how it affect the Sino-Pak relations.The third chapter is the economic benefit analysis of the CPFOP.This chapter reveals how the CPFOP has had a significant impact on the economic and social status of the people of Gilgit Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Chapter 4 evaluated how the CPFOP promotes cultural exchanges between the Chinese and Pakistani people.Pakistan faces instability on security issues and has faced the war on terrorism,but nowadays,digital connections are monitoring securityrelated issues and providing fast Internet connections for civilians,so the tourism industry is Promote a positive image day after day to easily connect with other countries in the world.The study also revealed how the CPFOP has had a significant impact on China-Pakistan bilateral relations due to promotion of Chinese language in Pakistan and in some cities also developing Urdu national language of Pakistan.Chapter 5 is about the social response of the project and the views of other worlds(USA,Eurasia,India and the UK).The study also assessed Internal and External challenges and opportunities,and submitted a transparency report on the CPFOP.This chapter also provides information about future expectations.Chapter 6 provides recommendations and conclusions of this special study,showing that the CPFOP plays an important role in strengthening bilateral relations and bringing peace and security to the region.The project killed two birds with one stone,one side it gives better connectivity to the people of Pakistan with the worldwide and secondly the road is built to fix the fiber optic cable,which can also provide better transportation.The study also shows that the transparency of the CPEC and its subprojects are attracting world powers,and they hope to become part of these projects.Powerful nations such as the United States,Russia,the European Union and China recognize the importance of these projects and consider them as new game changers in Pakistan.
