Research On The Influencing Factors Of The Satisfaction With The Spiritual Support Of The Emptynest Elderly In Rural Areas Of Shanxi Province

In recent years,the phenomenon of “Empty nest” has become more and more serious in our population ageing,which is characterized by “Getting old before getting rich” and“Getting old before getting ready”.Compared with the urban areas,there are some gaps in infrastructure,old-age security and medical services.With the acceleration of urbanization,the problem of providing for the aged of the rural empty-nesters is becoming more and more serious.In recent years,most scholars focus on material help,but pay little attention to the mental needs of empty-nest elderly,especially on the rural emptynest elderly mental support.Rural elderly is an important part of the number of elderly people in China,and the improvement of their quality of life and physical and mental health is an important step in “Healthy China”.From the perspective of social support and spiritual support,this research provides a new way to construct a new type of rural empty nest elderly social support system and improve the quality of life of rural empty nest elderly.The research content of spiritual support is quite special,there is no fixed standard to define and measure it.Therefore,this research used literature review,questionnaire survey and Logistic regression analysis to study the mental support situation of the empty-nest elderly in the rural areas of Linyi County.It is found that the satisfaction of spiritual support is only 30.3% in the empty nest old fever in the rural areas of Linyi County.So,the satisfaction of spiritual support needs to be improved.The findings identified seven significant influencing factors,including educational level,work,health status,chronic illness,ability of children/family members to detect spiritual needs and deal with emotional disorders,satisfaction with daily care,loneliness.Then put forward the targeted optimization countermeasures.The combination of qualitative research and quantitative research is chosen for the analysis of survey results.This method can fully mine and interpret the data.In view of the present situation and influencing factors of the satisfaction degree of the empty-nest elderly’s spiritual support in rural areas,this paper puts forward optimization suggestions from the aspects of family security,elderly self-consciousness,rural community support and the macro-support of the government.The family should play the basic security function,the empty-nest elderly should strengthen their awareness of spiritual self-support,social organizations should form a team of mutual help services,and the government should make up for its absence in the macro-level of spiritual support in rural areas.As a special group in China,the spiritual comfort of the rural empty-nest elderly is as important as economic support,life care and medical assistance.The related legal system and the system stipulation also needs to consummate unceasingly.All parties should make concerted efforts to contribute wisdom to cope with aging and promote the building of a healthy China.
