Research On The Spiritual And Cultural Needs Of The Elderly In Shenyang

The spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly are higher-level needs based on material needs.The satisfaction of material needs is related to the quality of life,and spiritual and cultural needs are related to the quality of life.With the rapid economic development,the people’s living standards have improved significantly.Nowadays,the elderly in cities are not only limited to material satisfaction,but also in pursuit of spiritual and cultural life.Therefore,satisfying and enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly has become the focus of the current government’s attention and solution.The spiritual and cultural life needs of the elderly are the individual psychological needs of the elderly and are related to the quality of life of each elderly.This article believes that the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly can be divided into: the needs of interpersonal communication,the needs of cultural activities,the needs of education for the elderly,the needs of spiritual care and the needs of social participation.Every elderly person has his own unique pursuit of life.The spiritual and cultural services of the elderly need to be oriented towards the needs of the elderly,fully listen to the voice of the elderly,and pay attention to the dynamics of the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly.Enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly is an inevitable choice for actively responding to the aging of the population and an important issue for building a harmonious socialist society.In order to explore the countermeasures to improve the quality of spiritual and cultural services for the elderly in the city,promote the physical and mental health of the elderly,and let the elderly enjoy a healthy and happy old age,this paper selects representative elderly people in Shenyang as the research object,and adopts a literature analysis method.The research method combining questionnaire survey and interview method,collected and obtained the current demand and supply status of spiritual and cultural services for the elderly in the city,combined with the relevant data of the Shenyang Statistical Yearbook2019 and 2018,found that the current mentality of the elderly in Shenyang Cultural life has problems such as imperfect basic cultural facilities,single cultural activities,lack of educational resources for the elderly,and shortage of psychological counseling services.The new public service theory is used to analyze the underlying causes of the problems,and then the following are targeted and comprehensive.Feasible and feasible solutions:formulate regional service development plans,establish a sound education system for the elderly,improve service response mechanisms,and build a spiritual care service network.
