Reputation refers to the overall impression that individuals,companies or groups leave on the public through their daily performance.As a kind of soft wealth,reputation is very important for individuals,enterprises or organizations.In the context of current big data,reputation issues have become a subject worthy of widespread attention.The government is a typical form of organization in society,and its reputation issue must also become an important task of government management.With the continuous development of the Internet,online public opinion has also started to develop synchronously,and it has become a very powerful force that has an important impact on all aspects of society.From the perspective of modern organizational management theory,organizational reputation is a very important management link for organizational development,and good organizational reputation is a powerful and important force for organizational development and construction.For the government,this reputation power is particularly important.At present,China is in a period of transformation,and all aspects of society have undergone dramatic changes.People’s ideas have also undergone rapid changes.The normalization of diversified needs has made the government’s image when the public needs have not been met.Extremely vulnerable to the influence of online public opinion or even biased.If the government does not manage online public opinion,the influence of online public opinion will continue to expand,and the resulting damage to the reputation of the government will become an adverse factor affecting the normal operation and development of the government.Therefore,from the perspective of organizational reputation and network public opinion,this paper studies the management of network public opinion and its impact on government reputation.First,the paper expounds the relevant concepts and basic theories of the research,combs the characteristics of Internet public opinion and its impact on government reputation,and provides the necessary basis for further research.Secondly,using the theory of organizational reputation to analyze two typical cases,combing out the current situation of our government’s network public opinion management.Combined with the specific situation of these two typical cases,this paper analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in the government network public opinion management and its negative impact on the government reputation from the four stages of the crisis,including the potential stage,the outbreak stage,the extension stage and the recovery stage.Thirdly,according to the theory of organizational reputation,public participation,crisis management and other related theories,this paper deeply analyzes the causes of the problems of network public opinion management that affect the reputation of the government.Through the research,we find that there are many negative factors in the reputation environment of the government under the network public opinion,For example,the lack of information communication leads to the general public’s partiality,neglect of the public’s rational cognition and emotional cultivation of the government.At the same time,the lack of attention to the network public opinion environment in the concept of administrative management,and the lack of a relatively scientific and perfect management system,the lack of network public opinion management technology,etc.are also the main reasons for the current government problems in network public opinion management.Finally,from the four aspects of building a network platform to optimize the government reputation environment,establishing the correct concept of government network public opinion management,building a perfect network public opinion management mechanism,and improving the technical level of government network public opinion management,we propose targeted countermeasures and suggestions in order to At present,the Chinese government’s network public opinion management provides certain references and basis to promote the government’s better management of its own reputation under the conditions of network public opinion,thereby enhancing the authority and credibility of government decision-making and management,and in order to better perform government functions provide assurance.
