| With the rapid development of social economy,China’s urbanization process has entered the stage of rapid growth and it brings many challenges to the urban management work.Urban management officers,as the core strength of urban management work,their career identities have great significance in building the law enforcement teams at the grass-roots level and deepening the reform of management system in China.This research paper selects the urban management officer’s career identity as the research topic and the officers from DY Urban Management Department as research objects.This paper uses questionnaire survey as a research method to explore the current situation of Chinese urban management officer’s career identity.The major findings of this paper include two aspects: firstly,the current career identity of DY urban management officers is generally at a moderately level.Secondly,there is a significant difference in the career identity of urban management officers with different social demography characteristics.Through semi-structured interviews,this paper shows the practical issues affecting the career identity of urban management officer,and analyzes the factors that affect the career identity of urban management officers.The research results can be divided into four aspects:single means of law enforcement,low enthusiasm for work,low social reputation and heavy burden of work.Combining with the factors that affect the career identity of urban management officer,this paper puts forward the corresponding improvement measures from various aspects: firstly,it is necessary to promote urban management legislation and establish a list of urban management law enforcement rights and responsibilities as soon as possible;establish a urban management police system and empower urban management officer’s corresponding law enforcement measures;strengthen the positive public opinion propaganda and create a good professional image of urban management officer.Secondly,it is necessary to reasonably arrange the work content to clarify the boundary of law enforcement authority of urban management officer;strengthen work incentives to improve the salary and welfare of urban management officer;optimize the performance management system and open up the promotion channels of urban management officer.Thirdly,at the individual level,it is important to pay attention to cultivating the professional spirit of urban management officers and enhance their sense of honor and accomplishment;provide professional training for urban management officers and improve the working ability of the officers. |
