Research On Parental Accompany On Children’s Physical And Mental Health

The economic growth has made much progress since China’s Opening-Up Reform,as well as the social welfare police,and the child welfare police also has made much progress,which is one of the most important parts of social welfare.The government has the ability to provide better and more comprehensive system,as the moderate inclusive child welfare policy established.Because of the Household registration division police and urban Household Registration Policy,there still existences the special groups of left-behind children and accompanying children.The absent of parental accompany,due to parents’ labor mobility,has deep influences on physical health and mental health of children.To complete their social welfare police is beneficial to build inclusive child welfare policy.Using China Family Panel Survey(CFPS)survey data in 2016,data analysis and regression were conducted using STATA version 15.0 to analyze the parents-accompany influence on children’ physical health and mental health aged from 10 to 15.We divide the sample children into four groups: the intact-family children whose parents both stay at home;the left-behind children,one of whose parent goes out for work;the left-behind children whose parents all go out for work;the accompanying children who leave home with parents.Mental health mainly includes the degree of depression,friendship,happiness and trust parents.Physical health mainly includes the degree of self-rating health,whether seek medical treatment in last year and whether the BMI index is normal.Comparing with the intact-family children,parental absence has more negative impact on left-behind children,particularly when parents all go out for work.The migrant children doesn’t have significantly different.Comparing the semi-left-behind children with the all-left-behind children,we find that the all-left-behind children have more mental and physical problem.We draw a conclusion that it has worse influence on mental health than physical health as the absence of parents accompany.It is also make sense when control the variable of communities and areas.Using heterogeneity test we find it has more negative impact on girls,lower-age children and the children whose parents lack of education.It is urgent that integrate various efforts from family,community,school and the whole society,to meet children’ need in the critical stage of growth and development.Accelerate to build the moderate inclusive child welfare policy,and improve children’ social security system.
