BackgroundIn recent years,as the rapid development of society and economy, large number of rural surplus labor of young choose to migrant to city for work or commercial production,and because of the limitation of education, household and economic reasons,they cannot send their children to live close at hand,only reluctantly chose to leave their children in the original domicile,bringing a new group in rural areas:"left-behind children ".The living and education environment of this group is special,and growing up in such a special social environment, consequent life, education, emotional, psychological and other issues become increasingly prominent,compared with non-left-behind children,there are some differences. Now the problem about "left-behind children" has become an inevitable and established fact in the nine-year compulsory education. Because of innate curiosity,they take full of interest in new things,enjoy fun and lack of restraint,also lack of discipline and lead,quite a few children appeared missing filling in personality formation process,especially the psychological problem.Whether these children can grow healthy,happy or not, on the one hand it’s related to the future direction of their own, and closely linked with their family’s future,on the other hand realated to the new harmonious rural construction, social stability and unity.This shows,that the health growth or not of "left-behind children in rural", will be directly related to the future and hope of this group even the the state, society and nation.PurposesBy the investigation of Mental Health about "left-behind children in rural"of Bengbu,Analysis its related factors,to provide some new ideas for the community, schools and families in the education of them,maybe take some help, thereby improve the mental health of the children.Materials and MethodsBy stratified sampling and cluster sampling method,extracted two village school with much more migrants in Bengbu,a junior high school and an elementary school,a total of 800 students surveyed,including 450 left-behind children,and 350 non-left-behind children.Using the "Mental Health Integrated Measurement" (MHT),preparation by our psychological workers according to Japan’s Suzuki Qing "uneasy tendency diagnostic test",reference revised from the actual situation of our students,take questionnaire about mental health of 450 children and 350 non-left-behind children.We use Excel office software for data entrying,build database, process the data by SPSS 19.0 software package.ResultsThe results show that:in 800 children with 450 left-behind students (56.25%),by "Mental Health Integrated Measurement" scale,we find that:1.For "left-behind children", total MHT scores, learning anxiety factor, human-anxiety, self-blame tendencies, terrorist tendencies, impulsive tendency factor scores are much higher man non-left-behind children, and the difference is also significant.2.General mental health of different gender children exist difference, the total stay of anxiety trend of female students is higher than male left-behind students,the average score of total anxiety trend has statistically significant difference. The average score of each content scale point that,different gender left-behind children in the study of anxiety,guilt tends and terror propensity scores are the most significant different,human anxiety, impulsive propensity score difference was also statistically significant, female students psychological tendency to anxiety are severe than male students.3.Mental health of left-behind children whether their parents are local workers or not exists difference. Their difference in learning anxiety, people anxiety, guilt tends are significant,and terrorist tendencies and impulsive tendencies are both statistically significant different.4. General mental health of different grades children exist difference, the total anxiety trend of mental health of different grade left-behind children has large difference,the mental health anxiety level of primary school students is higher than the children in junior high school stage,the average score of 8 content scale point that,learning anxiety, people anxiety,loneliness tendencies,self-blame tendencies impulsive tendencies both are significant different,terrorist tendencies difference is statistically significant.5. General mental health of different care also exist difference, mental health of children left behind in the care of a single parent is significantly better than other types of child care.ConclusionAs Left-behind children in rural are unable to get the care and attention of both parents,with special growth and educational environment,compared to non-left-behind children,these children exist some differences in mental health. The realistic question should be aroused widespread concern of the government, society,and take targeted measures and better mental health education work on left-behind children in rural with multi-joint,promote their mental health level to adapt to society better.
