| China-arab relations have a long history and enduring history.Since the ancient Silk Road,China and Arab countries have established profound friendship through close and friendly intercourse.The Belt and Road is not only an important channel for material exchange,but also an important venue for language and cultural exchanges among countries along the routes.To this day,the Silk Road has continued to promote China-Arab friendly cooperation and the two-way flow of humanities.Yiwu,as the starting point of the New Silk Road,is the main settlement of Arab expatriates in China.The children of Arab expatriates have also become the main group of local Chinese learners in Yiwu.There is a close relationship between language learning and language identity.From the perspective of Chinese education construction in the domestic context,it is imperative to master the status quo of the Chinese language identity of Arab expatriates’ s children.Improving the Chinese language identity of Arab expatriates’ s children can promote their Chinese learning,speed up their social adaptation in China,and cultivate compound bilingual talents who can promote the cultural exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and Arab countries.This paper takes Yiwu Shams International School as an example,takes Chinese language identity as the research topic,collect materials through questionnaire survey,interview and other forms,described and analyzed the current situation and influencing factors of Arab children’s Chinese language identity,and finally put forward corresponding improvement strategies.The study found that the overall Chinese language identity of the children of Arab expatriates is above average,and there is a lot of room for improvement.The individual factors that affect their Chinese language identity are gender and language background.The family factors are the mother’s Chinese level,the length of family plan in China and the parents’ transnational marriage relationship.This paper verifies the relationship between language learning and language identification,investment and language identification.There is a correlation between the cultural investment concept of family investment concept and students’ Chinese language identification.There is also a significant correlation between family investment behavior and students’ Chinese language identification.In terms of the degree of correlation,economic investment behavior >knowledge investment behavior > emotional investment behavior.Based on the results of the investigation and analysis,this paper puts forward suggestions from the aspects of government immigration care,school teaching improvement,and construction of Chinese educational resources,aiming to help the children of Arab expatriates build a positive Chinese language and cultural identity through multiple channels. |
