This paper takes Italian Chinese as the research object,through in-depth interviews and long-term tracking of five Chinese families living in Italy,mainly from the aspects of language use,language attitude and language identity in different occasions,and further combines their actual life to analyze the identity of Chinese in the local Italian community and its influencing factors.Hope to provide some help for the international spread of Chinese in Italy.This study found that most Wenzhou residents living in Italy use Wenzhou dialect within the Chinese community,while the younger generation who do not speak dialect use Chinese.Overall,the identity of Chinese,Chinese culture and Chinese nation is relatively high,among which ethnic identity is the highest and cultural identity is the lowest,and the understanding of Chinese culture is more limited to traditional festivals and activities.In addition,it is undeniable that with the change of generations,the trend of gradually weakening mother tongue identity has intensified among overseas Chinese groups.The Chinese environment of Wenzhou families living in Italy is generally better,and the internal members consciously value the communication between different generations,which also provides the original power for the inheritance of Chinese tradition.At the same time,Chinese has become a language tool in daily life and is in the same position as the local language.In order to integrate into the local community,it is common in Italian Chinese society that parents are busy with their work and do not participate in the growth and education of their children.Whether to choose Chinese learning or reduce the in-depth learning of Chinese has gradually become the confusion of Italian Chinese education.Finally,it becomes a proposition of "free choice" for the young generation.Based on this basic situation and fact scene,the author tries to expound the facts and views from three perspectives of the tension between the outside and inside of the community,between the inside and between individuals,and puts forward some suggestions.Italian Chinese education can establish cooperation bases with domestic universities specializing in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other languages,and send undergraduate and graduate students of this major to Italian Chinese schools for shortterm study or long-term teaching.Cultural activities can be co-organized with Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce to encourage Wenzhou families in Italy to connect and form the linkage of "home,school and community". |
