| The modern Er-Ren-Tai Opera "The Romance in Xikou" was jointil created by graduate students of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts.The Vocal music of the play creates a hybrid of the traditional and the new.This paper mainly takes the classic aria for Xiulian,the heroine in the modern opera "The Romance in Xikou" as the research object.Employing the methods of observation,literature analysis,interview,based on her own singing practice,the author analyzes this aria from three aspects: firstly,it briefly summarizes the creative background and script of the modern opera "The Romance in Xikou";Secondly,it analyzes the music structure,melody characteristics and lyrics of the aria "Seeing This Scene";Finally,based on her own singing practice,this author expounds the singing of the aria in detail from the use of breath,pronunciations,embellish cavity skills and emotional expressions.It is expected that the research of this paper can provide some reference for other singers who love Er-Ren-Tai and will perform this aria. |
