| In the fast-changing information era,the power of technology is rising day by day,and various interpreting technologies have emerged as time requires.The successful carrying-out of many interpreting activities,whether field interpreting,telephone interpreting,or video conference interpreting,is highly dependent on the rapidly developing communication technology and interpreting technology.Among them,the terminology management technology in interpreting has been growing quickly,but professional interpreters’ acceptance and use frequency of this kind of technology are not that optimistic.This paper is based on the 2020 Online Conference of Landscape Architecture Construction International Conference（LACIC）interpreted by the author in simulation in October 2021.Two terminology management tools（mainly Interpret Bank and partly Sketch Engine）were combined and applied to the whole process of the simulated simultaneous interpreting,i.e.pre-,during-and post-interpreting,and the practice and effects of the two tools are explored.The author discussed the assistance on terminology management in interpreting practice of the current interpreting terminology management technology from the perspective of a student interpreter.Through reviewing the literature,analyzing specific cases,and combining the experience of using the tools,the author finds that the current interpreting terminology management technology can not only assist to realize the terminology management service specifically for a certain phase or the whole process of interpreting,but also help the interpreter complete the interpreting task more efficiently and with higher quality.However,there are some imperfect functions because it is still at an early stage of development.The author hopes that this paper can provide guidelines for interpreting learners to explore and learn about terminology management technology,and new perspectives for research in this regard. |
