| The 2019 Future Science Prize Forum invited scholars and professors from leading institutes and universities at home and abroad to conduct in-depth discussions on disciplines or fields with frontier,crossover,and application characteristics.The symposium focused on current topics such as future biotechnology,black holes,future precision medicine,gene editing,and other cutting-edge topics.The material selected for this report was from one of these seminars,Future Precision Medicine.The seminar consisted of an opening speech and three keynote speeches on the topics of reshaping the immune response through biomolecular engineering,data mining for new ideas in tumor immunotherapy,and statistical and computational methods to find the cause of disease.In this report,firstly,the author points out the focus of this report,introducing terminology management in interpreting from its definition,its difference with terms management in written translation,its significance,and steps it involves.Then,the author briefly describes the background,themes,features,and specific implementation process of the interpreting task.In post-interpreting reflection,the author found that the major problem is the response speed to terms and the accuracy of terms translation given that there are abundant terms in medical interpreting.Therefore,in the chapter of case study,the author takes terminology management as a starting point to reflect on the problems that occurred in this simulated interpreting task and provides suggestions for optimizing the terminology management workflow to improve the utilization of personal linguistic assets and provide reference to student interpreters in their daily practice and on-site interpreting task.Moreover,in the author’s hope,this report can at least give inspirations to researchers who are interested in this topic and allow further and comprehensive study. |
