Study On The Formal Language Of Wood Carving

As a form of expression of sculpture art,wood carving is an indispensable part of the development of sculpture art.It has important artistic research value in modeling techniques,formal language and structural changes.With the development of economy and the progress of culture,the artistic concept and formal language of wood carving show diversified development and various forms of expression.Influenced by geographical environment,social culture and religious belief,traditional wood carving has obvious differences in artistic form,expression methods and artistic style.The formal language in wood carving in different times has similarities and differences,characteristics and relevance,and the impact of traditional wood carving on the diversified development of contemporary wood carving language is worthy of our study.Therefore,the author uses the methods of literature research,case analysis and observation to study.At the same time,combined with his own practical experience and understanding,the author compares and analyzes from the aspects of line,shape,body,texture and color,so as to further excavate and explore its internal cultural significance and formal language.
