Narratology Analysis Of Cultural Micro-documentary ——Taking If The National Treasure Can Speak And The Painting Speak As Examples

Micro documentaries have inherited the authenticity and professionalism of traditional documentaries,and have gradually developed in line with the new media trends,becoming a powerful carrier of cultural communication.As the latest representative achievements of the transformation and innovation of documentaries,CCTV Documentary Channel “If National Treasures Can Talk” and Tencent Video Documentary “How Does the Painting Speak” have achieved good communication effects of both traffic and word-of-mouth,largely due to their narrative success.Therefore,this paper takes “If a National Treasure Can Talk” and “How Does the Painting Speak” as examples,apply the theory of narratology to analyze the features of cultural micro-documentary image narrative,audio-visual language and communication strategies in the new media context.In order to provide reference for the innovation and dissemination of Chinese traditional culture.The introduction starts with the research origin,research background and significance of this thesis,and sorts out the narratological theories and present researches involved in the research,so as to clarify the theoretical framework and research methods of this paper.The first chapter briefly reviews the development and related research of micro-documentaries and cultural micro-documentaries;the third chapter analyzes the narrative elements of cultural micro-documentaries.Compared with traditional TV documentaries,the selection of traditional cultural themes in micro-documentaries.It pays more attention to seeing the big from the small and bringing the surface to the point;The fourth chapter analyzes its narrative method and finds that cultural microdocumentaries have the characteristics of coexistence of linear and non-linear narrative structures,flexible combination of multiple narrative perspectives.According to the analysis,within the limited time and space,the micro-documentary gives full play to the role of audio-visual language in expressing emotions.At the same time,with the help of new media digital technology,the details of cultural relics are truly restored,allowing the audience to experience the charm of traditional culture in the audio-visual feast.Finally,summarize the research of the full text and form a conclusion,and put forward the insufficient aspects of this research,and make further theoretical reflections on the innovation of narrative techniques and communication strategies of cultural micro-documentaries in the future.It believes that the narrative of cultural micro-documentaries is based on original content and diverse narrative techniques,focusing on the stories of the cultural relics themselves,and deeply in line with the current communication characteristics of new media such as immediacy and interactivity,to meet the fragmented and personalized information needs of the audience,forming a distinct advantage that is different from documentaries in the TV media era.In the future,traditional culture will have broad prospects for development relying on this form of micro-documentary.
