| Since the reform and opening up in 1978,economic and technological development has driven China to rapidly enter the stage of urbanization.With the increasing degree of urbanization,people’s ideas and concepts have also changed and their aesthetic concepts have also been improved.The author found through a lot of reading that after the reform and opening up,a large number of watercolor painters turned their attention to the city.As a result,the crowded and noisy streets,the high-rise buildings rising from the ground,and the daily life scenes of urban residents all appear in the works of watercolor painters.Through the depiction of watercolor painters,both urban landscapes and residential life scenes have a unique charm.This paper takes the urban theme watercolor painting in the process of reform and opening up as the research object.Firstly,it describes the development background and current situation of urban theme watercolor painting,and then summarizes the characteristics of urban theme watercolor painting in the process of reform and opening up combined with the analysis of the artist’s representative works.Finally,starting from the choice of personal creative themes and creative practical experience,the author expounds the problems encountered by the author in exploring the language of painting and expresses the thoughts on society through the creation of urban themed watercolor paintings. |
