A Study On The Narrative Strategy Of The Theme Documentary ——Also On The Graduation Work "Pursuit"

The theme documentary is a documentary that fully reflects the national mainstream ideology,carries forward the mainstream values of the society,and eulogizes the mainstream spirit of the times.China has always attached great importance to and made great efforts to develop the theme documentary.The recorders of past dynasties have focused their lens on the major events,times and images of people that have taken place in the development process of the country and the nation,leaving a large number of excellent works with distinctive spirit of the times,which have made important contributions to improving national pride and national cultural soft power.This research takes the narrative strategy of Chinese theme documentaries as the research object,takes the literature research method and case analysis method as the research methods,and combines with my graduation work "pursuit",analyzes the narrative strategy of theme documentaries from two aspects: narrative construction and narrative audio-visual language,and explores the innovation and development direction of China’s theme documentaries,It provides valuable thinking for the creation of the theme documentary in China.The first chapter combs and discusses the development context of China’s theme documentaries,and divides them into stages.While discussing the development process of China’s theme documentaries in stages,it analyzes the types,characteristics and social values of China’s theme documentaries.For the next in-depth analysis of China’s theme documentary narrative strategy to lay the foundation.The second chapter studies the narrative theme,narrative structure and narrative perspective of China’s main melody documentary film with the help of film and television narratology theory.At the same time,it analyzes the narrative theme,narrative structure and narrative perspective of my graduation work "pursuit",and expounds my understanding and understanding of the narrative structure of documentary film.The third chapter analyzes the audio-visual language expression of our country’s theme documentary film by using the theory of film and television listening language,including color,scenery,mirror operation,music,commentary and interview,and discusses the relationship between the audio-visual language system and narrative strategy in my graduation work "pursuit" from the two categories of visual language and auditory language.The fourth chapter summarizes the shortcomings in the creative process of the theme documentary pursuit.
