| The main theme documentary is of great significance in recording the development,inheritance of culture and promotion of national spirit.In 2018,the Central Propaganda Department listed the "Third-Line Spirit" as the national spirit and fighting spirit to be vigorously promoted in the new era,so that the Third-Line Spirit rose to the height of the "national spirit".The documentary on the theme of Third-Line construction itself depends on political needs,and in the context of the new era,the documentary on this theme presents the characteristics of the deepening of mainstream ideology and more diversified creative methods.This thesis attempts to further clarify the narrative strategy of the "Third-Line Construction" documentary in the new era and how to improve the main theme narrative communication effect of the documentaries " Third-Line Construction " broadcast by CCTV in the new era.This thesis mainly takes the three CCTV documentaries as cases,based on the theories of film and television narration,coding and decoding,and analyzes the narrative strategy of the documentary on the theme of Third-Line Construction in the new era and the narrative reception of the narrator through text analysis and in-depth interviews.First of all,this thesis first sorts out the development process and creation of documentaries on the theme of Third-Line Construction,and grasps the value and significance of documentaries on this theme.Secondly,based on the three documentaries such as "The Great Third Line" broadcast on CCTV in the new era,the narrative characteristics of the Third-Line Construction documentary are specifically analyzed from the three levels of story layer,discourse layer and narrative behavior of film and television narration.The study finds that the documentary on the theme of Third-Line Construction focuses on the achievements of third-tier industries,the suffering of third-line builders and the promotion of third-line spirit,creating the image of a generation of third-line builders and descendants who have worked hard and have the courage to dedicate.In terms of narrative discourse,the narrative is enriched through linear causality and plate nesting;Combine the interweaving and superposition of time and space such as reality and history to enhance the audience’s point of view.In terms of audiovisual language,through closeups,animations,narrations and other auxiliary atmosphere,promote the audience’s understanding and acceptance of meaning.Finally,this thesis analyzes the audience’s decoding of the documentary from the perspective of the narrator,and finds through comments and interview texts: in terms of surface decoding,the audience has a deep identification with the third-line builders and their life emotions,and is deeply impressed by unconventional shots such as close-ups and animations.In terms of deep decoding,the audience mainly shows leading decoding such as triggering emotional resonance and breeding identity for documentaries,a small number of them introduce relevant issues and historical reflection in the process of viewing,and a very small part shows confrontational decoding such as one-sided questioning and strong missionary meaning.Based on this,this thesis attempts to summarize the narrative enlightenment of the main theme of such themes in the new era through comprehensive thinking on the narrative strategy of documentaries on the theme of "Third-Line Construction" in the new era and the narrative acceptance of the recipients:(1)In terms of theme selection:documentaries should observe individual characters,correctly write suffering and weaken the meaning of mission;(2)Narrative skills: pay attention to micro-expression,strengthen narrative space imagery,pay attention to the full use of oral form and increase external perspective narrative;(3)In audiovisual texts: pay attention to the metaphor of picture symbols,capture more detailed shots,and further explore the in-depth application of animation digital technology in historical documentaries. |
