Landscape painting has experienced a tortuous development process from the rise of Wei,Jin,southern and Northern Dynasties to the maturity of Sui and Tang Dynasties,the peak of song and Yuan Dynasties,the continuous development of Ming and Qing Dynasties,and the gradual decline of modern times.In the 20 th century,Chinese painting is facing a dual crisis caused by the decline of long-term self-discipline development and the impact of Western art and culture.The Chinese painting circle has set off a wave of reform and innovation,which provides an opportunity for the modern transformation of landscape painting.Landscape painting has gradually formed three reform and development roads of "innovation from tradition","integration between China and the west" and "modern ink painting",Through the comparative analysis of the works of artists of different schools in the same period,it can be seen that the development of landscape painting in the 20 th century presents three characteristics: the popularization of artistic aesthetics,the localization of foreign art and realistic humanistic care,which has basically completed the transformation practice of Chinese landscape painting from traditional to modern.Since the beginning of the 20 th century,landscape paintings representing the Lijiang River Basin began to develop gradually.With Qi Baishi,Huang Binhong,Guan Shanyue,Li Keran,Zong Qixiang,Bai Xueshi and other famous painters successively visiting the Lijiang River and depicting the landscape of Guilin along the coast,more and more landscape painters began to pay attention to the theme of the Lijiang River and use it as the object of expression for landscape painting creation.Local painters such as ye Lumei and Zhang Fuxing have also been creating landscape paintings with the theme of Lijiang River for many years.During this period,painters in Guangxi injected different styles and personal elements into the landscape painting of Lijiang River theme,and also brought stimulation and inspiration to the local painters in Guangxi.They influenced and integrated with each other and worked together to make the theme of Lijiang River gradually become an important theme of landscape painting creation,and also realized the modernity transformation of Chinese traditional landscape painting.This paper takes the 20 th century as the background,takes the Lijiang River theme landscape painting as the research object,and uses the research method of the combination of historical literature reading and image data analysis to make an in-depth and detailed analysis of the current situation and modernity characteristics of the 20 th century Lijiang River theme landscape painting.This paper studies the painters who created landscape paintings with the theme of Lijiang River in the 20 th century,analyzes the era background of their sketching in Guangxi,classifies and summarizes the artistic expression methods and modern language characteristics in different painters’ works,and discusses the regional characteristics,expression language and aesthetic implication of landscape paintings with the theme of Lijiang River in the modern practice of landscape painting in the 20 th century.Painters who went to Guangxi to sketch collided and integrated the unique cultural mark of the Lijiang River basin with western modern art,which made the landscape painting in the 20 th century show a trend of diversified development,thus affecting the modern practice of contemporary landscape painting and enriching the artistic research of landscape painting in the Lijiang River Basin.At the same time,by studying the modernity practice of Lijiang River theme landscape painting in the 20 th century,we can explore the transformation of landscape painting in the 20 th century from abandoning tradition to returning to tradition,the important impact on the transformation process of current landscape painting creation from imitating the west to basing on the nation and facing the world,and explore the new vitality of landscape painting creation in modern development.
