Situational Construction ——Research On "Grey Tone" In Watercolor Painting

The word "situation" focuses on artistic psychology and aesthetics in artistic aesthetics.In the history of art,artists will take their own living environment and scenery closely related to themselves as their creative themes.Artists integrate their own emotions in the process of painting.At this time,the environment and scenery depicted in the paintings are closely related and infiltrated with the artist’s own emotions.Emotions are born from the objective environment,and the environment displayed on the picture is constructed by the creator’s emotions.Because the creator incorporates his own inner feelings and emotional cognition in the process of creation,the color of the picture is not just the reproduction of the original image color,but the product of the combination of subjective and objective understanding of the author’s description of things and scenes.Therefore,the creation full of the author’s emotional expression is truly expressive and artistic.Based on the application of gray tones in pictures,this paper studies the ways of using gray tones in works and constructing artistic situations in pictures,and explores the internal relationship between gray tones and artistic situations in pictures.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter of this paper expounds the research background,purpose,significance and research status at home and abroad.The second chapter briefly introduces the concept of situation,the formal factors of constructing situation in theory,including the concept of gray tone and its effect on constructing situation.The third chapter takes the analysis of case works as an example.1.The connection between the application of gray tone in Giorgio Morandi’s paintings and the construction of quiet situation.2.The connection between the application of gray tone in Ewan Ugro’s paintings and the construction of quiet situation.3.The connection between the application of gray tones in Antonio Lopez Garcia’s paintings and the construction of mysterious situations.The fourth chapter,based on the author’s personal creative experience,analyzes the importance of gray tone to the construction of artistic situation in creation.
