Research On Chen Shuren’s Sketching Landscape Painting In Guangxi

Chen Shuren,one of the three founders of Lingnan School of Painting in the 20 th century,is a famous painter and revolutionary.In his early years,he studied under Ju Lian,a Guangdong painter.He was influenced by Chinese traditional painting and enjoyed a high reputation for his outstanding talent and patriotic feelings.At the beginning of the 20 th century,in order to open up a new situation of Chinese painting,Chen Shuren began to go to society and nature,and carried out a lot of sketching activities.The patterns,lines,colors and other languages conveyed by him in his creation also constitute important factors in the 20 th century landscape painting innovation.Based on Guangxi culture,this paper makes a schema analysis of Chen Shuren’s landscape paintings in Guilin.The first chapter traces the origin of traditional landscape painting in the20 th century.The painting innovation influenced by foreign culture laid the foundation for the integration of Chinese and western painting techniques,and traditional painting began to reflect and innovate.The second chapter takesChen Shuren’s artistic learning process as the timeline,and expounds the process of Chen Shuren’s determination of his artistic style.By combing Chen Shuren’s learning process,this paper explores the epochal nature of his sketching and painting during his trip to Guangxi,and then explores the causes of his emphasis on sketching in his painting creation.The third chapter discusses the characteristics of Chen Shuren’s sketching landscape paintings in Guangxi.With the help of the inscription in the painting,this paper combines the visual regional features with cultural history,and discusses the period of sketching in Guangxi.
