Children’s literature refers to the literary works specially written for children,which not only covers the general characteristics of literary works,but also has its own features considering children’s physical and mental development.The younger children are,the more they rely on figurativeness.Thus,children’s literature tends to adopt various rhetoric devices to create a vivid picture for children and sometimes,especially in poems,is full of rhythm.It also adopts interjections,onomatopoeia,etc.to make it interesting and easy for children to read,taking into their vocabulary and aesthetic taste into consideration.Besides,it differs greatly from adult literature in that it lays special emphasis on education.In this translation report,some information about Chinese children’s literature is mainly mentioned at first.Then the author gives a brief introduction to the book and its author,as well as target readers of the translation,analyzes the features of chosen chapters at different aspects,and demonstrates the significance of the translation report.Later,the author introduces the backgrounds for Eco-translatology and its bases as well as main concepts,and analyzes the translation of some examples in linguistic dimension,cultural dimension and communicative dimension respectively under the guidance of Eco-translatology.At last,the author draws a conclusion that Eco-translatology is applicable to guide the translation of children’s literature,and summarizes some translation methods of children’s literature.
