On The Internal Relationship Between Mining Drawing And Original Explosion Drawing

The 1980s is a new period of Chinese ink figure painting.For a period of time before that,Chinese painting followed the"Soviet model",with a strong heroism complex and realistic technique.After the reform and opening up,how to face the collision between Chinese and Western vocabulary and the contradiction between tradition and contemporary is a problem entrusted to every artist by the times.Zhou Sicong and Lu Shen also began to explore new formal language after more than 20 years of training in realistic painting language.After collecting materials from Liaoyuan Coal Mine in 1980,Zhou Sicong and Lu Shen went to Japan to visit MARUKI and his wife.After returning to China,they began to create mining drawings.As a representative work highlighting the transformation of Zhou and Lu’s formal language,the reform and the reasons behind the reform are worth exploring.Combined with Zhou Sicong’s deep impression of the original explosion map on display in China and the creation time and language of the second set of mining drawings in 1980,we can see the direct impact of the original explosion map on mining drawings in some aspects.Through image comparison and analysis,it is found that the "mining drawing"has different degrees of absorption and breakthrough in the picture structure,shape and emotional content of the "original explosion drawing",rather than blindly imitating it.The reason why "mining drawings" can develop its own unique appearance after reference is closely related to the background of the times,the painter’s personal experience and emotion.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the internal relationship between the original explosion map and the mining map,in order to think about how Zhou Sicong and Lu Shen explore their own path in the face of the difficulties of the times,and what enlightenment does this path,as an excellent paradigm,have on the forward direction of Chinese ink figure painting in the middle and late 1980s.In the face of today’s more diverse cultural environment,Zhou Sicong’s exploration 40 years ago still has reference significance on how to find the appropriate language based on the times.
