| With the development of core literacy,the English curriculum standard for senior high schools(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)puts forward specific requirements for English learning from four aspects: language ability,cultural character,thinking quality and learning ability.However,how to implement the requirements of English subject core literacy has become a challenging topic in current English education.The deep learning with the motivation of actively understanding knowledge and exploring meaning,the core of which is cultivating high-level thinking such as critical reflection,and the goal of improving the ability of knowledge transfer and problem solving is consistent with the current training requirements of core literacy,and has become an effective way to implement the core literacy of the discipline.As the main position to improve students’ English core literacy,reading teaching still has a series of questions.This study is based on reading,and explores the cultivation of English subject core literacy from the perspective of deep learning,then this study puts forward the following questions:(1)what is the level of English reading in senior high school from the perspective of deep learning?(2)What is the current situation of English reading teaching in senior high school from the perspective of deep learning?By searching the domestic and foreign literature,combing the relevant theories and research of deep learning and high school reading teaching,this study uses the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods for investigation and research,takes305 students and 7 teachers from three high schools in Yan’an as the research object,collects and analysis data by the combination of test,questionnaire,classroom observation and interview.The survey found that students’ English reading learning has not reached the level of in-depth learning,and there are differences in school,subject and gender.English teachers have a lack of understanding of deep learning.In reading teaching,they take the students’ basic ability to heart,but ignore the development of students’ high-order thinking,cultural awareness and learning ability.Basing on the problems existing in English reading teaching in high school,some teaching suggestions are put forward:strengthen theoretical reserves;set overall goals and plans;pay attention to the logic and system of the classroom... |
