In the context of the revitalization of rural education,the professional development of rural teachers has received widespread attention,and junior high school English is a key linking stage of "reviewing the past and learning the new",which puts forward newer and higher requirements.How to stimulate and improve the professional development motivation of English teachers requires finding the negative factors that inhibit the generation of motivation and the positive factors that stimulate the development of motivation from the main body of the teacher and the external environment,so as to explore how to stimulate,maintain and promote the professional development motivation of rural junior high school English teachers Effective strategy.However,in the light of previous research,there is still less research on the professional development motivation of teachers of specific groups of rural junior high school English teachers.The author takes the rural junior middle school English teachers in F County,a poverty-stricken county in Guizhou Province as the research sample.By combining the questionnaire survey,the author conducts an investigation on the status from three dimensions: basic professional information of teachers,current situation of teacher professional development,and influencing factors of internal and external motivations of teacher professional development.The investigation found that the internal problems of professional development motivation of rural junior middle school English teachers in F County include: lack of professional development awareness,weak belief,weak will to professional development,negative attitude towards professional development and utilitarian purpose;External problems include: rural junior middle school students’ English foundation is weak,the degree of coordination between home and school is low,rural teachers’ professional development resources are insufficient,learning and communication platforms are few,rural teachers’ administrative workload is too large,school management is unreasonable,external supporting conditions do not meet the needs of teachers,and incentive is not enough.In-depth analysis according to the above problems,it is not difficult to find the countryside junior middle school English teachers’ professional development motivation of internal influence factors of the cognitive motivation from teaching,teachers need to walk with the knowledge background,professional happiness of emotional and professional identity,the will of the initiative,perseverance and self-control,idea of teachers,students and education.The external influencing factors include the organizational structure,leadership and management,institutional norms,campus culture and social supportive conditions.On this basis,focusing on clarifying the subject consciousness of teachers’ professional development,exerting the leading role of internal motivation and establishing a support system for teachers’ professional development,enhancing the supporting role of external motivation,both internal and external aspects,put forward the professional development motivation of rural junior high school English teachers Enhancement strategies: Establish a sense of subject development,strengthen the belief in the professional development of rural English teachers,popularize online learning,improve the self-learning ability of rural English teachers,enhance teacher education feelings,and enhance the professional growth interest of rural English teachers;pay attention to the professional growth of rural junior high school English teachers,Improve the construction of rural junior high school English disciplines,carry out targeted professional training for English teachers,promote the rational flow of urban and rural English teachers,create an English language environment,provide support for rural junior high school English cultural campus development,reduce administrative work pressure,and provide rural junior high school English teachers with majors Support for development. |
