| The "schema" theory of cognitive psychology provides a new perspective for the study of interpreters’ understanding and memory efficacy.Aiming at improving interpreters’ recording efficiency and exploring interpreting training methods,this paper mainly analyzes the role of Schema Theory in source language understanding,content organization and target language expression.At present,the domestic research on application of Schema Theory in interpretation is still in its infancy,so this thesis has certain theoretical and practical significance for enhancing cognitive efficiency and the training methods and teaching of interpretation.Guided by Schema Theory and combined with the contents of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization（SCO）from 2019 to 2021,this paper mainly discusses the influence of language Schema,content Schema and formal Schema on the quality and accuracy of conference consecutive interpretation,and points out that the quality of interpretation can be improved by accumulating parallel schemata,modifying differential schemata and cultivating schema awareness.Based on prior researches on schema theory and characteristics of consecutive interpretation,the author believes that the three types of schemata facilitates interpreter to accurately decode unclear content of source language at the listening level.At the syntactic level,the application of linguistic schema,content schema and cultural schema can help interpreters quickly recall interpreting skills and organize and reproduce target language.Finally,schema theory helps interpreters improve the structure of target language.Based on the above analysis,the author formulates applicable and pragmatic strategies from the perspective of schema theory.It is hoped that this thesis can help domestic scholars better understand the application of schema theory in conference interpretation,so as to carry out effective training and practice,and further improve the efficacy of interpretation. |
