| "Du Ruo" is a phonetic term,so the “Duruo” word and the word being annotated must be homophonic. However, according to the ancient rhyme notes in Shuowen Jiezi Zhu,quite a few Zhengzhuan and Du Ruo are different rhyme parts. To explain all the phenomena of different rhyme part with "use words with similar pronunciation" or "Du Ruo" as the Eastern Han phonetic annotation, not only violates the phonetic principle and deviates from the phonetic intention, but also lacks certain scientificity and rigor. This thesis "Study on Zhengzhuan and Duruo word Different Rhyme Parts Phenomenon in Shuowen Jiezi Zhu" mainly focuses on the 169 groups of materials of Zhengzhuan and Duruo word different rhyme parts in Shuowen Jiezi Zhu,in-depth exploration from phenomenon to essence,in order to have a comprehensive and profound understanding of this phenomena. It includes the following four aspects:In the first part,by retrieving the ancient rhymes in Shuowen Jiezi Zhu,169 groups of materials with different rhyme parts of Zhengzhuan and Ruoruo words were found. For the three types of "Zheng Zhuan being annotated A and B","Zheng Zhuan You Duruo X",and "Zheng Zhuan being annotated X",the general situation of different rhyme parts is briefly stated and displayed.Inspired by the Zheng Zhuan being annotated of more than one Duruo,it is concluded that the appearance of different rhyme parts is related to the polyphonic of Zheng Zhuan or Duruo words in ancient times. In the second part,an exhaustive analysis of 169 sets of different rhyme parts of the material is carried out,to explore the evidence of Zhengzhuan or Duruo words with multiple pronunciations, and to point out that Duan Yucai chooses which sounds in the multiple pronunciations to return to the department. This sound is Duan Yucai’s direct basis for sound attribution.Through the analysis,it is concluded that the phenomenon of different rhyme parts is due to the fact that the Zhengzhuan or Duruo words has multiple sounds, and Duan Yucai did not choose the sound of the same part of the two characters to return to the department. In the third part, further analyzes the principles and methods of Duan Yucai’s selection of homing groups under the condition of polyphonic characters in one character, and analyzes the polyphonic characters(including Zhengzhuan and Duruo words)analyzed in the second part one by one.Through the analysis, five principles and methods of returning to the department are obtained: refer to the case where the rhythm in Book of Songs of Zhengzhuan or Du Ruo is consistent with the reference materials, refer to the rhythm in Book of Songs of same rhythm(department)of characters in the relationship of Xie Sheng, refer to the case of the ancient phonetic materials that are consistent with other reference materials, and refer to the ancient phonetic materials of same rhythm(department)of characters in the relationship of Xie Sheng, refer to the Mid-century Chinese sounds. In the fourth part, explores the deep-seated reasons why Duan Yucai chose the above five methods to return to the department. The conclusion is drawn that Duan Yucai’s five returning principles of returning to the department are only the specific operation means when returning to the department. The deep-seated reason for using these five methods for homing should be the universality of pronunciation. The common sound and the inherited sound of a word are the original sound of the word. |
