A Report On The Translation:the Destiny Of Working Women

This article is a translation practice report of the book "The Destiny of Working Women" written by Keiichiro Hamaguchi,an expert and scholar in the field of Japanese labor law policy.This book is a sociological information article.As the material for translation practice,the author selected tens of thousands of words from it.The book not only combines modern history,but also summarizes the relationship between women,the workplace,and society from the perspectives of laws and policies,and introduces in detail the historical changes of the Japanese employment system and the changes in the status of female workers under this change.Through this translation practice report,the author believes that choosing an appropriate translation strategy will make translation activities more effective.Through proper translation,changing the part of speech of the vocabulary,adding the subject,segmenting the sentence,and the translation of active and passive and affirmative and negative make the reader directly talk to the author when reading the translation.The purpose of this paper is to provide translation materials for domestic scholars to understand the development history of female employment in Japan and to promote the development of Chinese sociology indirectly.The writing of this practice report is divided into four parts: preface,translation transformation theory,case analysis and final chapter.The preface mainly introduces translation tasks and translation process;translation transformation theory is aimed at Catford’s translation transformation theory,and the reasons for choosing this theory and this The introduction of related aspects of the application of text-like theory;the case analysis focuses on the translation of word level,sentence level,hierarchy and thinking level;the last chapter is the summary and prospect of translation practice.This paper adopts Catford’s translation and transformation theory to explain the object and process of this translation practice project in detail,analyzes the differences between the original text and the translated text,and how to minimize this difference for readers.brought a sense of inconsistency.The original text is analyzed from the word level,sentence level,hierarchy and thinking level,and the shallow lexical segment information and deep cultural content expressed in the original text are summarized.
