This is a report on the translation of Working Hard &Working Well(from foreword to the third chapter),which was written by the American writer Dr.David E.K.Hunter.The book tells the management experience and methods that Dr.David E.K.Hunter has learned during his nearly thirty years working in both the public and nonprofit sectors.This translation report explores features and strategies of an informational text,basing its text and case analyses on the Theory of Typology proposed by German translation theoriest Katharina Reiss.This report consists of five chapters.The first chapter describes the general information about the selected text,the main content of the text and the significance of this project.The second chapter briefly introduces the translation process and then the Theory of Typology applied in this report.The third chapter conducts an analysis on the lexical,syntactic and textual levels of the text.The fourth chapter carried out case analysis on the basis the text analysis in Chapter Three.The last chapter conclude the report with the findings and limitations in the process of translation and offers some specific suggestions for future translation of such texts.This translation aims to present foreign advanced management experience and methods,to explore the translation strategies and methods of this type of text,and to provide suggestions for future translation practice.
