As a Thai international student,Thai learners often make errors when using the Chinese adverb "JIU".The research object is identified as Thai intermediate and high-level Chinese learners because the learners in the primary stage have not touched or learned all four usages of the adverb "JIU".At the same time,clarifying the learners’ Chinese proficiency stage is helpful to the consistency of the research conclusions and avoid errors caused by different levels.This research mainly comes from corpus and questionnaire.We combine investigation and analysis of 249 relevant corpora of Beijing language and culture University HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus with the questionnaire survey method,which comprehensively investigates the acquisition of Chinese adverb "JIU" by Thai learners.Learners has four types of errors: omission,wrong generation,wrong addition and wrong order.Errors are mainly caused by learners themselves,teaching and Chinese textbooks.We put forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures,such as,students should actively adjust their learning strategies and communication strategies which help to avoid the negative transfer of mother tongue and target language;teachers should strengthen the comparative teaching,fixed sentence teaching,Thai related knowledge and adopt flexible teaching methods;compilation of teaching materials scientifically arrange the distribution and reproduction of relevant grammar knowledge,enrich the practice forms of relevant grammar.We hope that the research results can help learners reduce the acquisition errors,to improve the level of Chinese teaching in Thailand and promote the development of Chinese education in Thailand.
