A Study On Posthumous Titles Of Queens In The Han Dynasty

Posthumous title,as one of the important parts of Confucian ritual culture in ancient China,has the function of supervising and reviewing,guiding public opinion,punishing evil and promoting good.Although this system was abolished briefly in the Qin Dynasty,the posthumous title system continued to play an important role in the feudal society of ancient China.On the basis of inheriting the posthumous law of the pre-qin dynasty and combining the Confucianism,the Han dynasty gradually developed the posthumous law into a tool to maintain the feudal rule,which was further valued by the rulers.Western Han dynasty appeared in the history of the first independent posthumous queen-weisi,developed to the Eastern Han dynasty,independent posthumous Queen began to become customized.This paper summarizes the basic logic and law of empress posthumous posthumous posthumous position in the Han dynasty by sorting out the relevant historical materials.From the Western Han dynasty to the Eastern Han dynasty,most of the posthumous beauty,these posthumous beauty not only evaluated the Queen’s virtue before her death,but also began to express the moral requirements for women.According to Yizhoushu,Dogmatism and Hanshu annotated by Li Xian,this paper probes into the connotation of posthumous titles of empress,sums up the features of posthumous titles,and sums up the changes of posthumous titles of Empress in Han dynasty.These changes were not only inseparable from the rise of the empress in different stages of the Han dynasty,the changes in ideology and morality,and the development of the etiquette system,and with the Eastern Han dynasty,Regal non-succession,the special situation of the ruling relatives also have inevitable links.This paper not only makes a horizontal comparison of the posthumous titles of the Han dynasty,but also discusses the influence of the posthumous titles of the Han dynasty on the later generations.The Han dynasty created the first independent posthumous posthumous titles of the Empress.The posthumous titles of the Han dynasty played an important role in connecting the past with the present.In a word,the change of Queen’s posthumous titles in Han dynasty should not be viewed in isolation,but should be investigated and studied in multi-dimension and three-dimensional way.
