The early tang dynasty was another golden period of calligraphy after the six dynasties of wei and jin,which played an introduction and development role in the history of calligraphy.As one of the four great calligraphers of the early tang dynasty,YuShinan,both in calligraphy and calligraphy theory,was second to none at that time.YuShinan referenced a lot of the southern dynasty calligraphy and then formed his own characteristic calligraphy.His calligraphy theory "Bisui theory" has great aesthetic value which is a classic learning calligraphy.Through the analysis of the literature,the author discusses the value of calligraphy aesthetics in the two aspects of calligraphy works and calligraphy theory.This introduction is divided into three parts;The first part introduces the research purpose,the second one details the current situation,and the last part includes research methods of Yu's calligraphy.The first chapter is about the status of YuShinan in calligraphy and the style of calligraphy.It mainly discusses the establishment of calligraphy status in four aspects,namely,the calligraphy system of the early tang dynasty,the physical strength of the ruler,the relationship between the teachers of Yu,and the relationship between him and the ruler.The author analyzes his calligraphy style from his most representative calligraphy work,Confucius Temple Monument.The second chapter is the core of this paper,and analyzes the aesthetic thoughts contained in "Bisui theory".This chapter is divided into four parts.First,in terms of the overall structure,yu inherited the thought of "shangyun" in the southern dynasty and also laid the foundation for the "shangfa" of the Tang Dynasty.Secondly,the author traces the spiritual connotation of the change from philosophy to aesthetics in the study of "Miao" in the book theory.Thirdly,the author analyzes Yu's calligraphy creation concept,exploring the subjectivity of the "heart".Fourthly,the author analyzes the creation importance of "xinzhengqihe" and "juelvningshen".The third chapter mainly discusses the influence of the thought on yu shinan's calligraphy theory in the early tang dynasty.
