Kong Hai(774-835),as a "friendly symbol" of Sino-Japanese communication,is a pioneer of calligraphy communication between China and Japan.His calligraphy aesthetics with philosophical,Buddhist and Zen thoughts is an important part of the development of calligraphy communication between China and Japan.By analyzing the calligraphy characteristics of the empty sea in different periods,we can get the aesthetic characteristics of different periods.In this paper,the research and analysis of calligraphy and literature by Konghai is taken as the breakthrough point,and the aesthetic thoughts of Konghai are analyzed in depth and in detail in combination with its life experience and ideological origin.The full text is divided into three chapters for discussion:The introduction part is an analysis of the present situation of the research on the calligraphy of the empty sea,and combs the research results of the empty sea in academic circles.The first chapter mainly studies the significance and value of calligraphy aesthetics of empty sea from the philosophical thought of empty sea,the aesthetic thought of empty sea calligraphy and the influence of Korean Ming calligraphy on empty sea calligraphy.Zen Buddhism,a Chinese-style Buddhist culture,went to Japan to preach Dharma in Song and Yuan Dynasties,while monks studying abroad in Kamakura and Muromachi Dynasties in Japan also entered Song and Yuan Dynasties to seek Dharma one after another.The empty sea opened up this form of "two-way communication",and brought diversified influences on the cultural value and aesthetic connotation of Zen ink in later generations of Japan.The second chapter sorts out the calligraphy works of Konghai in different periods,and stages the calligraphy works of Konghai in style and time.Excavate the aesthetic thoughts embodied in different works of empty sea in different periods,observe reality from the beauty of calligraphy,and discover the beauty of life.The third chapter studies the viewpoint,characteristics and status value of the aesthetic thought of empty sea calligraphy from three aspects: the golden mean and peace of calligraphy beauty,the harmonious change of yin and yang,and the emotion and expressive force,so as to understand the beauty of calligraphy in the blending and mutual influence of Chinese and Japanese cultures and further explore the aesthetic thought and artistic conception of empty sea calligraphy art.Summarize the content,characteristics and modern significance of the aesthetic thought of empty sea calligraphy,compare with other studies of Zen ink,further refine the influence of empty sea calligraphy on later Japanese book style,and tap the aesthetic values of empty sea calligraphy,such as natural beauty,contradictory beauty,charming beauty and artistic conception beauty.
