Semantic Analyses And Rhetorical Interpretation On Morpheme "Chou" In Quan Song Ci

This paper mainly analyses “Chou”(sorrow,anxiety,or worry)in the lyrics of Song Dynasty(960 A.D-1279 A.D)from the following three perspectives: textual meanings,figure of speech,and literary implication.Firstly,the textual meanings in related classics and dictionaries are thoroughly listed and sorted out.And then,the paper covers the analysis of the meanings of “Chou” in Quan Song Ci,namely Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry;the component words of “Chou” are all picked up from Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry and are categorized into a form so as to better study the characteristics of combination with implied “Chou” as well as the formative process of both meanings and figure of speech.At last,this paper explains the themes of “Chou” in Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry and the implied literary meanings.
