Abstract/Summary:
Private colleges and universities are an important part of the education industry,and English classroom teaching in private colleges and universities has some effects on the teaching quality of the school.The students in private colleges have low scores in the college entrance examination,poor English foundation,and lack of learning attitude and motivation.Improving the English communication ability of non-English majors in private colleges and improving the quality of foreign language teaching will be the top priority.As one of the factors affecting the quality of foreign language teaching,the study of English teaching language can guide English teaching.This paper selects private colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province as the research object,and makes an in-depth analysis and discussion on the basic situation of English and Chinese,including Modern College of Northwest University,Xi ’an Foreign Affairs University and Xi ’an Eurasian University.This study uses the natural survey method to study the proportion of teaching language output of non-English majors,which has a more prominent impact on the second language acquisition ability and classroom effect of private college students.The author selected college English teachers and non-English major students from several private colleges and universities to fill in valid questionnaires,which collected 254 questionnaires for students and 33 questionnaires for teachers,in depth analysis and exploration based on relevant theories.In view of the above problems,this paper makes an in-depth study on the audio and video materials of two teachers’ College English reading and writing classes,using the relevant theories of English teachers’ classroom discourse analysis..Through data analysis,the author finds that the proportion of students wishing teachers to teach English in class is 50%.There is no obvious gap with teachers’ current teaching practice.The conclusion of the data in this study shows that 50% English teaching will promote learning understanding and absorption of classroom content,and promote students’ ability to learn and master a second language,The research results can also be used by front-line teachers to guide daily college English teaching practice.
