Research On The Creation Of Chen Yan’s Novels From The Perspective Of Folklore

Chen Yan,a writer from Shaanxi,plays an important role in the field of contemporary Chinese literature.Chen Yan started writing plays in the mid-late 1980 s and has since written more than a dozen plays and won many awards.Under the influence of folk culture,his creation of novels reflects all the shaanxi folk culture.Thus,this article will,by using the method of text analysis from the perspective of folklore,studies his novels.Through his creation of four novels "Xiking Story","Packing the Stage","The Protagonist","The Comedy",the writer will study the aesthetic implication and his creation style of the folk novel.This paper mainly consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly introduces the current research status of the topic.The second part mainly introduces the folk customs in Chen Yan’s novel works,mainly from the Qinqiang opera culture,language folk culture,diet,clothing,marriage and other folk matters.The third part mainly introduces the aesthetic implication of folk custom in Chen Yan’s novels,and analyzes the characters,plot development and theme of the works from the perspective of folk custom.The fourth part mainly introduces the influence of folk culture tradition on Chen Yan’s writing style.The regional environment,cultural and historical environment and the writer’s personal life experience have great influence on the formation of his writing style.The fifth part mainly introduces the inheritance and criticism of the folk culture tradition in Chen Yan’s novels.The folk culture tradition is characterized by complexity.Chen Yan inherits and carries forward the essence of folk culture through his novels and criticizes and negates the dregs of folk culture.
