Based on the perspective of Chinese international communication,this thesis makes a comparative study of "Chinese Bridge-Chinese proficiency competitions for World Foreign College Students" and "Chinese Bridge-Chinese proficiency competitions for World Foreign Middle School Students".this thesis focuses on the development and evolution of these two competitions in recent five years as the main research objects,analyzes the similarities and differences of their competition systems and other aspects,and intends to summarize the starting view points of the tests by means of discussions of the differences and characteristics of the two competitions.Finally,the author tentatively makes some suggestions as how to improve the development of two competitions and better approaches to international communication of Chinese.The first chapter is the introduction which introduces the background and significance of this thesis,analyzes the related literatures,summarizes the intensions,characteristics and development trend of Chinese international communication,summarizes the research focus of "Chinese Bridge" serial competitions,and expounds the necessity of the comparison study comprehensively of two competitions.The second chapter covers the analysis of the similarities and differences of the tests and competition systems of "Chinese Bridge" serials Chinese competitions.This thesis utilizes the approaches of statistics and comparison on the tests and specific items of the competition systems of "Chinese Bridge" serial Chinese proficiency competitions.The tests consists of various contents and different types,and the competition system is divided into schedule regulations,scoring system and rewarding method.The third chapter tries to interpret the similarities and differences of the communication elements of the "Chinese Bridge" serials of Chinese proficiency competitions in a comparative approach.This author of the thesis,withquestionnaire and Laswell’s 5W theory as a tool,makes analysis of the communication elements,and studies the communicators,media,content,object and effect respectively.The fourth chapter concludes by means of analyzing existing minor flaws with the suggestions for present "Chinese Bridge" serial competition and approaches to make a better improvement of the international communication and Chinese education,as proposals of authors’ related thoughts on the "Chinese Bridge" serials of Chinese proficiency competitions and TV programs with a perspective view of Chinese international communication.
