Chinese Seria Verb Sentences is special and difficult.At present,the research objects on the acquisition of Seria Verb Sentences are mainly from China’s neighboring countries,such as Japan,South Korea,Thailand,Indonesia and so on,while there are few studies on students from English speaking countries such as the UK,the US,Canada,New Zealand and so on.Therefore,based on the intermediate and advanced Chinese level English native speakers as the research object,through the HSK dynamic composition corpus and “Informal Meeting” as an object for conversation program established spoken corpora,examine senior Chinese native speakers of English in spoken and written words of the usage of muscle,from the frequency of usage,usage and correct errors rate of collecting data statistics in detail.At the same time,it compares and analyzes the characteristics of the use of Chinese Seria Verb Sentences in the oral corpus and the written corpus by English native speakers at intermediate and advanced levels of Chinese,summarizes and analyzes the errors in the acquisition of Chinese Seria Verb Sentences by English native speakers at intermediate and advanced levels of Chinese,and probes into the causes of the errors.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)There is a positive correlation between the usage frequency and error rate of Purpose-type Seria Verb Sentences and Mode-type Seria Verb Sentences,which indicates that the more Seria Verb Sentences are used,the more likely the errors will be.Therefore,Chinese teachers should pay more attention to it.The frequency of the other four types of Chinese Seria Verb Sentences in the oral corpus is lower than that in the written corpus except for the Sequential-type Seria Verb Sentences and the Yes-fail type Seria Verb Sentences,which indicates that the foreign students are not able to use Chinese Seria Verb Sentences skillfully in their oral expression,which also shows that Chinese Seria Verb Sentences are a difficulty for the foreign students to acquire.(2)In the oral expression of Seria Verb Sentences,the most common type of errors is omission,which is caused by the looser syntax environment and learners’ inappropriate communicative strategies.The most common type of errors in written language expression is misrepresentation,which is related to the vocabulary mastered by learners.(3)The mother tongue has both positive and negative effects on learners’ acquisition of Seria Verb Sentences.Learners with a first foreign language learning background will also be influenced by the first foreign language when they acquire Seria Verb Sentences.(4)Intermediate and advanced Chinese learners will find colloquial words in their writing,which indicates that stylistic factors should be paid attention to in Chinese teaching.In addition,learners may also be influenced by learning strategies and Chinese dialects to produce errors.In this regard,we propose four teaching suggestions: strengthening the contrast between Chinese and English,correcting learning strategies,paying attention to the accumulation of materials,and cultivating stylistic consciousness,so as to further promote the teaching of connective sentences.
