During the period of Chinese language teaching in Nepal, through investigation, found that many problems exist in the Chinese classroom in Nepal, such as traditional and single teaching methods of teachers, neglect of the training of listening and speaking skills, lack of students’ sense of participation, inactive classroom atmosphere, and the teaching content un connected sufficiently with real life etc. These problems affect the improvement of students’ Chinese level and it is urgent for Chinese teachers to find a more practical teaching method to change the present situation. As a new teaching method,task-based teaching method focuses on the learning process, requires teachers design teaching reasonably based on students’ learning needs, and emphasizes guiding students to learn to use language in the process of completing various forms of classroom activities, which is conducive to changing the situation of students’ passive learning in the traditional teaching mode.TBLT includes three implementation stages: pre-task stage,in-task stage and post-task stage. In this series of processes, students use the target language to communicate and discuss, and finally form the correct language output,so that their language ability can be fully exercised. From the perspective of learning characteristics of Nepalese students and solving teaching problems, the teaching design based on TBLT is carried out to try to find a more efficient teaching method. The students of C lass A,Grade 7 of Srijana Secondary School in Nepal are taken as the teaching objects and the Primary Comprehensive C hinese course "Eating mooncakes and watching the moon" is selected as the teaching content. And put forward specific teaching suggestions for the problems existing in teaching practice.
