In recent years,more and more Chinese university teachers have chosen to study in overseas universities to improve their teaching level and acquire doctoral degrees.Affected by COVID-19,various universities around the world have adopted online teaching methods to carry out teaching activities.The demand for classroom interpreting has increased,which has promoted the increase of interpreting activities in the education field and provided practical opportunities for interpreters.This report is a practical report on consecutive interpretation in educational classrooms.The author was responsible for the consecutive interpretation of the doctoral training program in education.This report selects some of the failures and successes during consecutive interpreting as the analysis object,and reflects on interpretation performance.First of all,the translation process mainly involves how college teachers can better conduct education and teaching and how to improve curriculum design.The author touched a lot of pedagogical vocabulary and theoretical knowledge in this translation activity.Due to insufficient preparation before translation,there have been inaccurate and missed translations of professional vocabulary.Secondly,since the interpreters usually focus on the standard British and American accents in European and American countries during their interpreting training,they are not familiar with the special English pronunciation of people in Southeast Asian countries.As a result,many questions appeared in the translation process.The author made a detailed analysis of these problems and proposed corresponding solutions.Finally,this report also talks about the translation strategies and theories involved in the translation process,which is conducive to the better translation.The significance of this interpreting practice report is that through the analysis of the practice of consecutive interpreting in this online classroom,it has laid an important foundation for the future interpreting learning,and can better play the role of an interpreter in future work.
