A Study Of The Folkloric Style Of Ceramic Ornamentation In The Jin Dynasty Kilns Of Jiexiu,Shanxi Province

The Jin dynasty was the heyday of the development of ceramics in Jiexiu kilns,and it is said to have been a period of great success,especially in the art of ceramic decoration.The unique cultural background of the Jin dynasty was the basis for the formation of the ornamental art of Jiexiu kilns,and was also a key factor in the formation of its ornamental folk style.Under the influence of the Jin dynasty culture,the Jin dynasty Jiexiu kiln ornamentation shows the boldness and elegance of the northern ethnic groups,and under the influence of the Han culture in the Central Plains,it presents an elegant and chic traditional style.The long-standing folk culture is continued on the ceramic carrier in the form of patterns and words,and the unique decorative content inherits the enduring folk culture,which naturally penetrates the senses of the appreciators.As one of the continuing forms of folk culture,the diverse ceramic decorations of the Jin dynasty Jiexiu kilns nourished and enriched the art of northern ceramic decorations of the Jin dynasty and carried forward the traditional folk culture of China.This paper analyzes the development and evolution of the ceramic decoration art of Jiexiu kiln from several aspects,including the kiln’s profile,decorative techniques and composition characteristics.At the same time,the paper compares the contents of the ceramic decoration of Jiexiu kiln,explores the folklore style of the decoration,explores the folklore cultural connotation of Jiexiu kiln ceramic decoration and extends the folklore concept reflected by the decoration,and interprets the aesthetic sentiment and aesthetic ideal of Jiexiu kiln ceramic decoration to deepen the understanding of the folklore style of Jiexiu kiln decoration in the Jin dynasty.
