In recent years, international exchanges have continued to be promoted. With the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, various economic and cultural exchanges between countries have also increased.Food is vital to people, and foreigners are paying more and more attention to Chinese cuisine. At present, domestic research on Chinese food translation is still in its infancy and lacks standards. Therefore, the author chooses the fifth and the sixth episodes of the cultural barbecue documentary “The Story of Chuaner 1” as the data for simulated simultaneous interpretation, with Eco-translatology as the theoretical guidance and“multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection” as the basic principle. The author analyzes the adaptive choice of interpretation at the three dimensions of language, culture and communication. This report mainly seeks to solve the following three problems: Firstly, difficulties in instantly translating cooking terms and culture-loaded food words;Secondly, difficulties in translating dialects and colloquial languages;Thirdly, difficulties in conveying emotional value in interpreting. In this practice report, based on the conversion and adaptation of the three dimensions, interpretation strategies are proposed accordingly.First,to use literal translation and sentence-driven principles to avoid word-to-word translation caused by the differences in Chinese and English expressions.Second,to properly process the colloquial information by means of simplification, transliteration and free translation. The third is concerned with sentence form, expression technique and diction to better convey emotions.
