This paper is a study of a pair of synonymous locative words "Li" and "Nei"in modern Chinese.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the significance of the topic;summarizes the research of the locative words "Li" and"Nei";and introduces the research methods and the source of the corpus.Secondly,it gives a detailed description of the allonym "Li" and "Nei" from the semantic and usage aspects.From the perspective of semantic evolution,we can see the original meaning and semantic characteristics of location words "Li" and "Nei".When "Li"and "Nei" are combined with different words,they can produce different semantics.In these semantics,they have both similarities and differences.From the perspective of usage,the usages of "Li" and "Nei" are basically the same,which can form the location structure "x Li","x Nei" and the commonly used preposition structure "Zai From / within "Li / Nei".On this basis,the two synonyms are analyzed.Then,it analyzes the errors of foreign students in learning location words "Li" and "Nei".Including statistics of the number of errors,analysis of the types of errors and the causes of errors.The main types of errors that foreign students tend to make are the wrong addition,omission and misuse of location words.The reasons for the occurrence of location words are the influence of mother tongue,target language,teaching materials and related reference books,learning strategies and communication strategies.Finally,according to the errors and the different semantics of the locative words "Li" and "Nei" produced by foreign students,we make an operable teaching design for TCFL.When designing the teaching process,we should arrange the teaching content reasonably according to the level of foreign students.For the foreign students at the primary stage,first explain the basic meaning.For foreign students in the middle and advanced stages,the extended meaning is taught,from simple to deep,from easy to difficult.
