The Research On The Image Of Criminals In Chi Zijian’s Novels

At present,the academic circle has made a lot of achievements in the study of Chi Zijian’s novels,such as the in-depth study of ecology,locality and gender in his novels.In terms of the characters in novels,no matter the images of fools,children and women have long been the focus of many scholars,but there are few papers on the study of criminals in Chi Zijian’s novels,which is a marginal group of characters.Therefore,the study on them has certain academic value and significance.Based on the theories of criminology,philosophy,literature and other related aspects,this paper studies the causes,narrative art and ethical interpretation of the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels by combining with her novels.This thesis consists of introduction,five chapters and conclusion.In the introduction,the purpose and significance of the topic,the concept of the research object is defined,and the research status at home and abroad,research ideas and innovations are introduced.The first chapter classifies the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels according to the different aspects of criminal behavior,gender,region,etc.,in order to show the readers the three-dimensional,hierarchical and multiple characteristics of the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels.The second chapter analyzes the causes of the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels and expounds their multiple connotations.Different from the traditional criminals who are extremely guilty,the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels are mostly small figures,and there are often unspeakable pains behind their crimes.Chi Zijian from folk standpoint,the social environment of physiological needs,money used for the nuanced insight,meanwhile,Chi Zijian will human duality and conflict presented in the text,in her view,human nature of good and evil,perceptual and rational regarded,she let the readers can see criminal image multiple connotations,and thus more rationally at this group.The third chapter makes an ethical interpretation of the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels.On the relationship between men and women and generations,Chi Zijian experienced the anomie of family ethics caused by the phenomenon of “parricide”.She made the criminal mentally wake up to a certain extent and redeem himself by actions from the reality and the spiritual world.Chi Zijian has a clear understanding of life and society.She believes that the harmony of life and dignity are equally important,and both are indispensable.The destruction of the harmony of life by the image of criminals makes her heartache,but their defense of dignity reveals the light of humanity.As a member of society,the loss of rights and obligations of criminals is more obvious in terms of sex and role virtues.The fourth chapter discusses the narrative art of criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels.Chi Zijian is good at observing,recognizing and constructing the literary world from the perspective of children.The images of child criminals themselves and children’s forgiveness for the images of criminals outline a pure and beautiful spiritual world.The setting of the images of convicts,the use of poetic language and vivid images,etc.,construct a poetic world and relieve the gloom of the images of convicts.Chi Zijian cherishes the ecological environment and loves the nature,which makes her examine the criminal image in the ecological background.While criticizing the negative aspects of human nature,she still believes in the return of human nature,and points out the path of spiritual salvation for criminals in her novels.The fifth chapter reviews the literary and social significance of the criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels.The literary significance is not only to absorb and innovate the theme of “crime and punishment” in foreign literature,but also to inherit and change the images of criminals in Chinese new century literature,as well as its unique literary significance of “examining ugliness”.The social significance mainly includes the attention to the vulnerable groups such as women and children,the insight into the contradiction between urban and rural areas in culture,education,housing and social security in the process of modernization,and the attention to the social reality problems such as employment security and corruption.The conclusion further summarizes its image classification,artistic technique and research significance by refining the research overview of each chapter of this paper,so as to sublimate the study of criminal images in Chi Zijian’s novels to a certain extent,which is convenient for subsequent researchers to carry out further research and development.
