As the new curriculum reform developing in depth,more and more scholars and teachers realize that the traditional teaching model can not meet the requirements of current education.They begin to seek a new teaching model.After a long practice and exploration,the “Guided learning plan” teaching model comes into being.In this model,students use “Guided learning plan” to learn with teacher’s help.Teacher and students complete the teaching goals together.This teaching model which emphasizes student’s principle status and teacher’ leading status contributes to teacher-centered teaching to student-centered teaching.Try to apply “Guided learning plan” teaching model to English teaching in junior high school to remedy the disadvantage of traditional teaching model and improve the teaching effect.The research questions include exploring how to apply the “Guided learning plan” teaching model to English teaching in junior high school and explore what are the positive effects of “Guided learning plan” teaching model on students.Learn from previous studies to design and compile the “Guided learning plan”,to construct and implement the “Guided learning plan” teaching model.Selecting 90 seventh graders from a junior high school as the study subjects,use “Guided learning plan” teaching model in experimental class and use traditional teaching model in controlled class.Through questionnaire survey,interviewing method and test score to verify the practical effects of“Guided learning plan” teaching model.The research found that the “Guided learning plan”teaching model can increase students’ interest and confidence in English learning,and improve student achievement.Thus,the “Guided learning plan” is an ideal teaching model.
