Abstract/Summary:
This article is based on the two important propositions of "Broken Frame" and "Image Anthropology: Image Body Medium" proposed by Hans Belting, combined with Rauschenberg’s creative attitude and philosophy of "Art does not come from art",and from Belting’s iconographic perspective specifically analyzes Rauschenberg’s creation and his breakthroughs under the linear and unified concept of modernism,as well as what his creative ideas have for young artists in the current virtual network images.New revelation.Rauschenberg challenged abstract paintings and the paradigms and standards advocated by the movement, and jumped out of the existing modernist framework. This "broken frame" is reflected in his use of non-traditional materials and objects in a variety of different media..Belting believes that the image is neither in the imagination nor on the wall(or in the electronic screen). It spans the gap between the two.Rauschenberg’s work provides a field that is no longer attached to it.In terms of “plot”,“story” and “continuity”—but these elements are still powerful brushes for action creators. On the contrary,Rauschenberg advocates a decentralized openness to external events. These creative characteristics are To a certain extent,it coincides with Hans Belting’s opinion. With the continuous popularization of the mobile Internet,we are gradually getting used to reading the world with the "glasses" of the media.Where there is no media,we will feel as if we are out of social events and empathy, because we treat media as a kind of "Habits" of life,it seems that we can’t perceive the world without using the media. The innocence of art is gone forever in the era when it can be copied at any time in the technical image media and the world. At the moment,it is not uncommon for images to gain appeal, because images show us through an attractive medium(such as online media).Critics of pictures always point out the deceptive and "blind" power of pictures and claim that they are "dead spots".When pictures play an illegal role or spread wrong ideas, their opponents try to destroy them accordingly, but the result is that what they can destroy is only their media rather than the image itself. The interaction between images and media is complicated and cannot be reduced to a simple formula.Technological innovation does not necessarily lead to new perception modes.Sometimes the situation is just the opposite.New ways of viewing will to a greater extent lead to the creation of new graphic media.Today,we require the presence of technical images and the reality of the reproduction of image media, but the reality copied by image media is in an unresolvable contradiction with the artwork after all.Different from the previous analysis on Rauschenberg’s materials, the relationship of the times, the way of viewing, and the way Zen thought expounds the arguments,I hope to analyze Rauschenberg’s works from a more micro-specific perspective, while some of Belting’s views It happens to bring some enlightenment to my research.Cutting through and analyzing Rauschenberg’s paintings from his point of view may bring more “details” that have been neglected before. These neglected details may create new possibilities for the current "narrow door" paintings and even the artist’s way of thinking in creating images.Rauschenberg’s creation provides such an outlet and possibility, which cannot be explained by the diversity of brushstrokes and the introspective pursuit of the culmination of known artistic identities. With idealistic enthusiasm and a certain degree of innocence,he made a comprehensive consideration of the subject of technological replication. The photos are transformed into silk-screen prints through the news media, and through the intervention of the artist, changes have taken place. In other words, the artist has given these photos another place and meaning through the medium of art.The image collage, material conversion, and semantic complexity in the creation imitate the habit of fast browsing by urban residents, trying to capture the chaotic "reality" with the collage of details.
