Emoji Design And Application In The Post-Epidemic Era

In the current era of online social networking,a series of emoticons represented by Emoji play an indispensable role in life.As a global symbolic language,Emoji emoticons can effectively supplement emotional expression in social networking.This design creation coincides with the new crown epidemic period.Based on the social phenomena in the epidemic era,the author extracted visual language from it,and designed a series of Emoji emoticons with the characteristics of the epidemic era.This article is divided into two parts: design work presentation and design report.The first part is the presentation of the design works.It mainly includes design drafts and process diagrams of some works.The second part is the design report.It is mainly divided into three parts: research report,theoretical research report and design creation report.First,the research report.Through literature research,questionnaire research,and online research,the author analyzes the use of Emoji,the context of use,and the design works created around Emoji,and combines the characteristics of the social environment under the epidemic to find the fun and possibility of design creation.Second,the theoretical research report.Explains the development source,historical background and development process of social semiotics.Starting from the field,tenor and mode in social semiotics,the analysis of the relationship between the three provides theoretical guidance for the later design practice.Finally,design the creation report.Based on research conclusions and theoretical research,the visual design creation of "Emoji emoticons in the post-epidemic era" is carried out.The first step is to extract visual symbols from the social phenomena in the epidemic era,convert them into visual language,and create the graphic visual design of this topic.The second step is to present the 3D animation of Emoji plane vision in a fun way,and design the human-computer interaction through the design programming in Kinect.The third step is to explain the whole process and meaning of the subject through animation introduction.To sum up,the author hopes to improve the perception of the public through the combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional,from perception to experience,so as to generate emotional resonance.This creation is mainly based on the continuous improvement of the public’s ability to interpret Emoji,using the new crown epidemic as the network context,and giving the characteristics of the epidemic to Emoji,making Emoji more realistic.The author also hopes that through this design,the public will resonate with social phenomena under the epidemic,and thus promote people’s thinking about a community with a shared future for mankind.
