Female Individual And State Will: A Study Of Shaanxi Women’s Film Team(1953-1957)

In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,film became an important tool for the country to carry out ideological propaganda and cultural transformation in rural areas,which was reflected in Chinese films during 1949-1966,as well as the mobile film screening nationwide.In the early years of the People’s Republic of China,film projection was placed in a key position as one of the key departments of cultural undertakings,bearing the dual tasks of policy and cultural popularization.In the early 1950 s,film was mainly applied to the political propaganda in the field of ideology,especially in the rural areas that had been under the influence of feudal culture for a long time.At this time in China,the transformation of rural culture is an important part of the socialist cultural system.What’s special is that a women’s screening team has been set up in some areas to practice mobile film screening.This paper focuses on the Shaanxi Women’s screening team which was established in1953.Through the diachronic analysis of its beginning,development and end,this study tries to investigate the causes,specific process and achievements of its screening activities.Meanwhile,the study puts Shaanxi Women’s screening team under the new picture of socialist equality of women,and discusses how the women’s screening team This discussion closely linked individuals and countries representing micro and macro,presenting a symbiotic situation,which to some extent reflected the construction of film projection system in the early days of the founding of New China.The projectionist of the female is the carrier of national spirit,carrying the task of cultural,political propaganda,at the same time,so the existence of individual women,become the sign of that the advanced nature of the People’s Republic of China,in practice,they can also rely on their own identity and cognitive,film screenings to amplify the enlightenment effect,and the information feedback from down to up,step by step to help improve the film projection system.
