The Study Of The Negative Criticism Of Du Fu’s Poems In The Past Dynasties

Du Fu is one of the greatest poets in China.He holds an almost supreme position in the history of ancient Chinese poetics.In the history of poetics,the literary phenomenon of "thousands of scholars note Du" is magnificent,and the trend of poets respecting Du and learning from Du is prevailing constantly,and the poetic theorists of all dynasties have highly praised Du’s poems.However,after a careful study of the criticism of Du’s poems by ancient poetry theorists,we can see that there are many negative and negative opinions among them.This paper calls the negative and derogatory criticism of Du’s poems as "negative criticism",classifies and analyzes these negative criticism,probes into the poetics thought contained in them,and explores the hidden value of poetry history.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which makes a brief statement on the origin of the study,the research status,research methods and ideas of negative criticism of Du’s poetry,and the significance of the topic.The second part summarizes the negative criticism of Du’s poems in the past dynasties.From the perspective of diachrony,it roughly sorts out the overall context of negative criticism of Du’s poems in the past dynasties from the representative poetry theorists in the Song Dynasty,Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and their negative criticism views.The third part analyzes the different angles of negative criticism in Du’s poems.The negative criticism of Du’s poems can be classified into four aspects: the negative criticism of the different styles of Du’s poems,the negative criticism of the language of Du’s poems,the negative criticism of Du Fu’s history of poetry,and the negative criticism of Du’s specific works.In terms of poetic style,the critics criticized Du Fu for his lack of understanding in jue sentences,pointing out that Du Fu’s five-character ancient poems are far from the ancient times and lack the beauty of implicative implication,criticizing Du Fu’s dogmatic tolerance for the seven rules and his exclusivity and extreme expression of rules,which are quite hurt and broken.As for the language of Du’s poems,poetry critics have pointed out many clumsy sentences in Du’s poems.Yang Shen,Wang Fuzhi and others strongly criticized Du Fu for confusing the boundary between poetry and history,and pointed out that the language style of those poetry and history works presented the shortcoming of being straight and plain.As for specific works,take "Ba Ai Poems",which was criticized most by poetry critics,as an example.The poetry critics criticized the poem as long and messy,clumsy and sluggish.The fourth part analyzes the reasons of Du’s negative criticism,which mainly include the prevalence of Li and Du’s theory of superior and inferior virtue,the shift of the fashion in the poetry circle,and the aesthetic judgment of poetry theorists.To a certain extent,the prevailing theory of Li and Du’s superior and inferior causes the poetic theorists who hold the view of Li and Du’s superior and inferior to disparage Du’s poems.The shift of the fashion in the poetry circle will also make the poetry critics deny Du’s poetry when it does not conform to the fashion in the poetry circle.In addition,the poetics’ own poetics concept and personality preference also affect their judgment and criticism of Du’s poems.The fifth part is the conclusion,which makes a systematic summary of the thesis and tries to discuss the significance and value of negative criticism of Du’s poems in the past dynasties.The negative criticism of Du’s poems in the past dynasties reflects another aesthetic and poetic view,which is different from Du’s aesthetic appreciation,and has important significance in literary history.
