Kunlun imagery is a long-standing and frequently used artistic imagery in Chinese classical poetry.Since Qu Yuan’s Jiuge·Hebo,Tianwen and Jiuzhang·Beihuifeng,the imagery of Kunlun has entered the literati’s field of vision,and has been influenced by Qu Yuan’s poetry,with mysterious and romantic color.On the basis of predecessors,the literati in the Tang Dynasty continued to explore and develop,making the Kunlun imagery more three-dimensional and secularized,and further enriching the emotional connotation.In the late Tang Dynasty,the emotional connotation and literary connotation of Kunlun imagery gradually stabilized.The introduction of this paper defines the concept and scope of Kunlun imagery,reviews the current academic research on Kunlun imagery,and introduces the purpose and significance of choosing Kunlun imagery as the research object of this paper.The first chapter mainly studies the historical origin and basic situation of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry.In the study of the historical origin of the Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry,we first sort out the Kunlun imagery recorded in the literature before Tang Dynasty,find out the cultural source of the Kunlun imagery,and find out the process of gradually enriching the cultural connotation of Kunlun.Secondly,it combs the development source of Kunlun imagery in pre Tang poetry to understand the occurrence and development process of Kunlun imagery from material imagery to literary imagery.It also makes a quantitative analysis of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry,so as to intuitively understand its basic situation.Kunlun imagery appears nearly 1000 times in poetry,involving 697 poems.The second chapter mainly analyzes the main content and emotional connotation of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry.The imagery of Kunlun is put into different themes of poetry to analyze its specific connotation,namely,sympathy for the bitter and cold of the frontier fortress and praise for the march of the frontier fortress in the frontier fortress poetry;They yearn for immortal life and pursue immortality;In love poems,they yearn for beautiful love and express their feelings with green birds;In history chanting poems,we use the past to satirize the present and express our feelings;In Yingzhi’s poems,the praises and expectations are expressed,and in other poems,the Kunlun imagery are used to express personal ambition and pleasure.The third chapter analyzes the reasons for the rich connotation of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry and its influence on later poetry.First of all,we can trace the reason why the connotation of Kunlun imagery was greatly enriched in the Tang Dynasty,which is closely related to the prosperity of Taoism and the great changes of social environment.Secondly,it analyzes the literary connotation and cultural personality of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry,and finally analyzes the influence of Kunlun imagery in Tang poetry on later poetry.
