Ying Lian was a poet of Eight Banners in the period of Yongqian,subordinated to the Yellow Banner of the Han Army of the Internal Affairs House.Ying Lian was skilled in poetry and literature,and he wrote Meng Tang Poem Draft.His poems were highly appraised by famous poets such as Yuan Mei and Hong Liangji.This paper analyzes the literary value and cultural significance of Ying Lian’s poems from the perspectives of his poems on social intercourse,his writings in Northeast China,and the connection of his poems with the poetic style at that time.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part gives a general introduction to Ying Lian’s family background,life and writings,especially focuses on the investigation of the identity of the Eight Banners Poets under the Yellow Banner of the Han Army.It is pointed out that he not only held a high position in his later years,but also had high attainments in literature.This part lays a foundation for further study on the identity consciousness embodied in his poems.The second part systematically investigates Ying Lian’s friendship poems.Ying Lian had a wide range of friends throughout his life,which can be roughly divided into three periods according to his official place,time and contacts: Jiangnan period,Tianjin period and period of "super administration".Ying Lian attached great importance to friendship,no matter in which period,his friendship poems were true feelings,with a high artistic level.The third part analyzes Ying Lian’s writing in Northeast China.Ying Lian was originally from Shengjing,but he grew up in the capital.Ying Lian had been to the northeast twice,most of his poems are poems of trip,with a prominent Northern poetry bold and bold characteristics.Ying Lian’s writing of the Northeast is different from the poems of the Northeast Lurian and the poems of the Eastern Tour of Qianlong.His poems did not have the complicated and changeable feelings about the northeast like poems of the Northeast Lurian,nor were they different from the political purpose contained in the Eastern Tour poems of Qianlong.Instead,he simply recorded the unique scenery,climate,utensils and local customs of the northeast with his poems as a traveler.The fourth part discusses the separation and combination of Ying Lian’s poems and Qianlong’s poetic style.Hong Liangji’s Beijiang Poetry has a high evaluation of Ying Lian’s poetry.Ying Lian’s poems are not only related to but also different from the three poetic styles of "Ge Diao Theory","Ji Li Theory" and "Xing Ling Theory",which were dominant in Qianlong Dynasty.However,As a senior scholar of Dongge,there is no Guange poem in his poems.His poems are more similar to those of the commoner poets.The epilogue points out that Ying Lian’s poetry is the product of the integration of Manchu and Han cultures in the early Qing Dynasty.It is helpful to deepen the understanding of the diversification of the poetic style in Qianlong Dynasty to study Ying Lian’s Meng Tang Poem Draft.In the appendix of this paper,Ying Lian Chronicle is compiled for the first time on the basis of Meng Tang Poetry Draft and other documents. |
